The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak hopes the Parliament will start working next week and such shameful events as fighting and voting for each other will remain in the past.
Volodymyr Rybak said this in his interview to Rada TV Channel on Friday, after Rada-3 voting system with sensor button has been tested.
The Chairman of the Parliament informed that another meeting involving deputy factions’ leaders was held today. During the meeting the issue of unblocking the work of the Parliament was discussed. “Voters are waiting for this,” said Volodymyr Rybak, stressing that deputies have to finally start fulfilling their pre-election promises, have to come to the session hall and vote in person.
Thereat, he noted that the bills on European integration, draft laws on increase and indexation of salary, pension and other social payments as well as construction of affordable housing are to be considered. People, stressed Volodymyr Rybak, wait for improvement of the quality of education and medical services as well as introduction of European standards into all spheres of life.
Volodymyr Rybak informed that today in the session hall, he made sure that the system with sensor button for voting functions. However, it turned out that even such system does not prevent from voting for several persons.
“So, is this the system we expected for?” asked the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. “I have a bit a seditious idea: what if this system with the sensor button was introduced to falsify voting in the Verkhovna Rada?” “The leaders having elaborated this system did not launch it five years ago and today they insist that I legalize the fraud,” he added.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said that under no condition shall he take the decision to put such system into operation.
Volodymyr Rybak believes that next Monday factions’ leaders will discuss the issue of normalizing the work of the Parliament, and will hear each other and the voters. “I will ask deputies to stop and start adopting laws, necessary to the state,” he said.
